  Mama Oh No, Yer Blooze and Decent Wrestlers, Norwich 23 Jan 2026 I arrived at Voodoo Daddy’s in good time for the Mama Oh No set, while thankfully managing to catch Yer Blooze’s from the middle of their opening number.     Having missed the opening act, Decent Wrestlers , I heard from others that their debut gig went well.  I can report that a couple on my bus home were chatting enthusiastically about the Decent Wrestlers’ set.  With the encouragement of the Norwich scene, I hope that they keep working at their music, as their set went down well with the early evening Voodoo people. Mama Oh No at Voodoo Daddy's Showroom, Norwich, 23rd Jan 2026 Rock and roll history is studded with family bands, married couples, partners making sweet music together, you can insert the name of your favourite examples yourself easily enough.  Norfolk's own four-piece family band, Mama Oh No , purveyors of swampy guitar, clanging bass, fuzz and spring reverb have pulled together a show for Friday, 23rd January 2026 at Voodoo Daddy's Showroom, London Street, Norwich. The band is Jack Gascoigne (vocals and guitar), with siblings Issy Gascoigne (bass) and Tordy Gascoigne (vocals, keys and omnichord) and Rhi Swift  (drums). Oh Yes, Mama! Mama Oh No / Grandbaby / Robin Evans Norwich Arts Centre, Saturday, 22nd June 2024 Surprising as it was, summer arrived in St Benedict’s Street like a man struggling to explain why he was late for a date because he was so into a spreadsheet at work.  Well, stuff you summer!  All the enthusiastic attention and beautiful flowers aren’t just good enough.  I digress. It was a beautiful evening and the old church that is Norwich Arts Centre , with its delightful back garden, was a joy to be at on Saturday.  In fact, the Fine City was an overall delight.  Music, live or otherwise, filled the old streets, lanes and alleys.  Even the occasional poser in a loud motor, had the bass thumping through the side panels, adding an authentic urban boom to Britain’s Biggest Village.  The warm still air was perfect acoustically.   The backyard at The Plough , one of the very best summer drinking locations in town, was...
