  Mama Oh No, Yer Blooze and Decent Wrestlers, Norwich 23 Jan 2026 I arrived at Voodoo Daddy’s in good time for the Mama Oh No set, while thankfully managing to catch Yer Blooze’s from the middle of their opening number.     Having missed the opening act, Decent Wrestlers , I heard from others that their debut gig went well.  I can report that a couple on my bus home were chatting enthusiastically about the Decent Wrestlers’ set.  With the encouragement of the Norwich scene, I hope that they keep working at their music, as their set went down well with the early evening Voodoo people. Mama Oh No at Voodoo Daddy's Showroom, Norwich, 23rd Jan 2026 Rock and roll history is studded with family bands, married couples, partners making sweet music together, you can insert the name of your favourite examples yourself easily enough.  Norfolk's own four-piece family band, Mama Oh No , purveyors of swampy guitar, clanging bass, fuzz and spring reverb have pulled together a show for Friday, 23rd January 2026 at Voodoo Daddy's Showroom, London Street, Norwich. The band is Jack Gascoigne (vocals and guitar), with siblings Issy Gascoigne (bass) and Tordy Gascoigne (vocals, keys and omnichord) and Rhi Swift  (drums). Sultry Stuff - In The Desert You’ll Find Me The Molee Shakes - Debut Album - Review Released this morning, with the launch gig at Norwich Puppet Theatre tonight, we at last get a full draft of The Molee Shakes – and it tastes good.  It is like a long, slow, cold beer on an oppressively humid day.  The duo of Mowenna Farrell and Lee Dickerson bring welcome chills to heat of summer. This is a great album for a go-with-the-flow, tell me a story, laid-back mood, in a let’s not rush about, (it’s too hot for rushing), let’s just rock gently to the swaying rhythms of a lived-in voice telling slow, wild tales, accompanied by the echoing lap-steel guitar laments. The album is beautifully put together.  It sets a distinctive tone and maintains that mood throughout.  This is sustained by sparingly-used percussion.  Drums are lightly deployed, with the delicate touch of Jack Gascoigne bringing music of his own to the melodic scenery.
